After meeting Amie and Tim briefly at a coffee shop, I felt that they were genuinely sweet and kind people. And after spending a day with them shooting their wedding celebrations, I knew my instincts were correct. We started our adventure at the ultra modern NU Hotel in Brooklyn. Amie was a little camera shy at first but I convinced her that soon she would love the attention of feeling like a movie star for the day…and she did! Their friend Peter was kind enough to drive us all over Brooklyn to some incredible hidden spots, places you wouldn’t even think to exist in New York City. After portraits, we wisked ourselves away to iCi Restaurant in Brooklyn, the fabulously quaint French restaurant on Delkalb Avenue. The ceremony on the back patio was short but sweet, with family members sharing special readings, some hand-written for the couple. I found myself smiling the entire time I was taking photos. You could see how much Amie and Tim mean to their friends and family.
Every detail of their wedding was so cute and uniquely them from the map they used as a guest book to the delicious cupcakes in lieu of a traditional cake from famed vegan bakery Baby Cakes.
A big thanks to Amie, Tim, their friends, their family and the ICI staff that were all so friendly and welcoming to me.
