Favorite Intimate Wedding Venues in Philadelphia

In the past few years more and more couples have been opting for smaller micro-weddings, so I wanted to make a list of my favorite intimate wedding venues in Philadelphia.

Having a smaller wedding means you can put that money towards other things, like buying your first home or going on a nice honeymoon! When you have a smaller guest list it also allows for more one on one time with loved ones. I’m actually having an intimate wedding at Martha in Fishtown for my own wedding with a guest list of 55.

Martha

First on the list is Martha, because I’m getting married there! If you have your wedding at Martha in Fishtown it will not disappoint. The staff is so friendly and professional and the food is amazing. The chef at Martha is so creative and they work with you to make a menu that you will love. Their cocktails are also delicious and unique.

You can opt to rent out the restaurant space, the patio or both! The outdoor patio has space is perfect for 55 guests comfortably.

Osteria

Another great restaurant wedding venue in Philadelphia is Osteria. They have many options for spaces but my favorite is the glass enclosed spot on the side of the restaurant. If you are a plant lover like me, you will feel like you are in a greenhouse. You’ll find great food and drinks at Osteria as well.

The Love

Did you know you can rent the private space upstairs at The Love for your wedding? A quick ride up their elevator brings you to their private dining space with a full bar! You can have an intimate ceremony then share dinner with your guests. This is perfect for a wedding with around 20 guests. There is even room for a small dance floor for your first dance and speeches.

Terrain Glen Mills

I know Terrain may seem out of some people’s budget if you are looking for a smaller wedding, but did you know you can get a great deal on a weekday wedding?! If you don’t mind getting married on a Monday-Thursday you can get discounts for weddings at Terrain in Glenn Mills. This is another favorite of mine because of it’s fantastic food and plant filled atmosphere.

Valley Green Inn

A micro-wedding at Valley Green Inn is perfect for the nature lover! You can actually have larger weddings here as well. Imagine a beautiful ceremony among the trees and next to flowing water followed by amazing food and drinks! The covered tent makes for the perfect place for dining, dancing and speeches if you decide to do these things.

Front Street Cafe

Another Fishtown intimate wedding venue I love is Front Street Cafe! This is an ideal location for portraits with murals and a beautiful space for a small wedding. It’s upstairs has two rooms that can be rented out for your wedding.

Vaux

Sadly this wedding venue in Center City called Vaux will be closing it’s doors in December but I’ve found a very similar space called Casablaca that you can check out by clicking here!

Bok Building

If you’ve ever been here for drinks then you know how great the views are, but did you know you can have your wedding at Bok Building? This is one of the most unique wedding venues in Philadelphia. You can explore old classrooms and the theatre then say I do and dance the night away on the rooftop with views of Philadelphia.

Duportail House

Set in a sweet vintage home with a barn next door, Duportail is a beautiful venue just outside of Philadelphia. You can have an outdoor ceremony out on the lawn or even next to the barn. It has rooms with character for getting ready photos and portraits perfect for if it decides to rain on your day. You can also have a tent for dinner and dancing or have it inside of the house.

Lark

I love photographing at Lark and I know this is going to be a very popular restaurant venue in Philadelphia. The old ironwork outside makes for a perfect backdrop for ceremony and portraits. The indoor space has a mid century modern vibe that I am all about! The food and drinks are spectacular and the staff is so kind
