If you’re like me and this is your first time planning a wedding it can be a bit overwhelming! I recommend doing things one at a time and the number one thing to do after picking your wedding date is picking your wedding venue.

1. What is included in the venue rental fee and what is an additional cost?
2. What is the maximum capacity of the venue and how many guests can it accommodate comfortably?
3. Is there on-site parking available for guests, and if not, how close is a parking garage or lot to the venue?
4. Are there any restrictions on catering (e.g., only using their approved caterer)?
5. How late can events go into the night and what is the noise curfew/policy for the venue?
6. What type of decorating/setup is allowed in the space - will you need to bring in all your own decorations or does the venue provide them for you at an additional cost?
7. How many hours are you allowed to book the venue for your wedding day?
8. Are there any special amenities or features that come with booking the venue, such as a bridal suite or dance floor/stage area?
9. Can you hold a ceremony and reception at the same location, or do you need to hire two separate venues?
